Number-one bestselling author
For the sixth and final character interview, say hello to Chuck everyone! Welcome to the blog! It’s so nice to have you here!
Chuck: Thanks for having me, man. Do you got any beer?
Well, sure. I also have some tea and coffee. Oh, and some nice biscuits!
Chuck: Nah, I don’t go in for that sissy stuff, that’s more Nancy’s game. Still though, thanks for the beer. I’m trying to kill a hangover before I go out for the night.
Are you sure it’s wise to drink more beer, then?
Chuck: Hey, hair of the dog man, hair of the dog.
So tell me a bit about yourself. What are your dreams and aspirations? What do you want out of life?
Chuck: Aw, I don’t know man. I dream of doing as many men as possible in a single night. My record is eight.
Isn’t that a little much?
Chuck: Nah, it’s not enough! There’s always another hole, always another guy!
But wouldn’t you rather have a lasting relationship with someone that loves you?
Chuck: Had that, didn’t work out. The guy was a tool.
But you tried again, right? I mean, you can’t let one guy dictate the rest of your life.
Chuck: No man, I didn’t. (shakes head) I don’t let anyone get that close. That’s why places like bath houses rock the Csaba. No commitment, no talking except for the occasional moan and you get to go back to your own place afterwards. That’s like the perfect night!
Hmm, sounds kind of lonely to me. I always look forward to coming home to someone who wants to know how my day was.
Chuck: Yeah, well who asked you? (crosses arms)
I’m sorry if I’ve offended you, Chuck. Really. Here, I have some beer nuts to go with your beer. Will that make it better?
Chuck: (looks at the beer nuts and takes them) It’ll help.
I really am sorry, Chuck.
Chuck: Nah, it’s okay. I just want…
(waits for a response, but Chuck stays quiet) What do you want, Chuck?
Chuck: All that stuff you said, everything. Do you think I like being a manwhore all the time? It’s exhausting!
Then you have to wait until the right man finds you.
Chuck: But I’ve slept with all of them! Everyone wants the same thing, to fuck or be fucked. That’s all they want, all of them.
I wouldn’t be so sure. Just give it time, okay?
Chuck: Okay…can I have some more of those beer nuts?
Sure Chuck, here you go.
Here’s a bit about the book:
What does it take to find love in the gay community?
In a world filled with one-night stands, glory hole blowjobs and weeklong romances, what does it take to find love? This is just what our protagonist Blaine worries about. Unlike his friends, he wants to settle down.
Chuck is just looking for Mr. Right Now. A self-proclaimed jock, he is always on the lookout for a good time. But what happens when a good time becomes a very good time? Does he run away from his feelings? Or admit them to himself?
Mike and William are having problems. Marital problems. Though they don’t sleep together, they do like to sleep with others and share their stories. They had wanted a no strings attached marriage. But they did not count on actually falling in love. With each other!
Nancy is just looking for love. True and honest love. Though a little bit eccentric, he is nonetheless good to go when he catches a bartender’s eye. But is Devon what he seems? Or does a secret lurk there?
Poppy is a little distraught. A self-proclaimed man hating lipstick lesbian, she’s beginning to have doubts about her sexuality. It may have something to do with the baby in her stomach. Her lover River Moon Falls will be pissed if she finds out!
She does the only thing she can do: turns to her best friend Blaine for help. Despairing that he will ever meet Mr. Right, Blaine is surprised to find him in Justin, the father of Poppy’s unborn son….
When all of these people come together, love is sure to show up somewhere…
We hope.
