Thrum – A Poem

You cause a thrum

to run through me.

With every touch

a continuous humming

fills my skin.

The thrum runs over me,

revealing all of me to you.

You look at me with open eyes

and I can see myself

within your gaze.

You don’t see the faults

that my eyes can see.

Your eyes only see me

as I truly am.

After a few moments,

I realise that the thrum,

that gorgeous continuous hum,

has grown even louder.

It is because

every time I look at you,

each time I run my fingers

along your skin,

I am seeing you

as you truly are

and the thrum that we create together

is a song as loud

as the stars.
