Dizziness
Fatigue
The crushing tiredness of everything,
also, the pain that is always there,
filling my very bones with a dull ache,
or a pain that feels like my body contains lava.
Spasms passing over my thighs,
down my legs as if fingers under my skin
are turning my calves to stone.
They feel breakable and I wonder if the next step
will be where I fall.
My legs are getting ready to blast off somewhere,
but they keep me on the ground instead of letting me fly.
Tingles in the ends of my fingers,
as if spirits are using my digits to write.
A severe reaction to the cold of the air conditioner that
causes my legs to seize up completely,
pain radiating through my body like a brutal wind,
only to feel incredibly warm in the next breath.
Numbness in my legs where I can run my hands over my skin,
but can’t feel my own touch.
It’s odd to watch it,
like more ghosts waiting to be discovered
are living in my skin.
For a moment,
there was a numbness in my lips.
This caused me to blur my words;
they fell from my lips,
a mumbling mess
of words.
I wondered if I could somehow
assemble the letters together
so that I could make
sense.
